About the Strategy Sub-committee
The Strategy Sub-committee was established by the Council for Sustainable Development to take forward the task of advising on the process of drawing up a sustainable development strategy for Hong Kong. The Sub-committee involved stakeholders from a broad spectrum of the community in developing proposals on the formulation of the strategy. The Sub-committee's terms of reference were -
- To assist the Council for Sustainable Development on the formulation of a sustainable development strategy for Hong Kong;
- To engage stakeholders and the community to implement a consultation programme as agreed by the Council for Sustainable Development with a view to ensuring that the sustainable development strategy is inclusive and widely accepted by the community; and
- To report regularly to the Council for Sustainable Development on progress of formulating a sustainable development strategy.
