Organisation and Functions

Assist the Secretary for Environment and Ecology in formulating, co-ordinating and implementing policies on agriculture, fisheries, food safety, veterinary public health and environmental hygiene

Support the Secretary for Environment and Ecology in explaining and defending policies, securing support of the public and Legislative Council

Assist the Secretary for Environment and Ecology in acquiring and deploying resources to support the implementation of policies and delivery of services

Ensure proper use of financial resources within the Food Branch, manage the staff in the branch and oversee the work of the executive departments under the branch
